With the highly anticipated arrival of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on Thursday of this week, we anticipate that many royal watchers will attend the airport to catch a glimpse of the newlyweds, both when they arrive and when they depart.

The Ottawa International Airport Authority would like to caution members of the public that the Royal Couple will not be arriving at the main airport terminal, but rather at the Canada Reception Centre. Parking facilities at the airport, including the Parkade and surface lots are required for flying passengers and their meeters and greeters; extra parking will not be made available for royal watchers.

The Authority urges members of the public to remember that the airport will be functional during the arrival and departure, and that all normal operations and security regulations will be in effect.

OMCIAA operates Ottawa International Airport without government subsidies under a 60-year lease transfer agreement with Transport Canada. The OMCIAA’s mandate is to manage, operate and develop airport facilities and lands in support of the economic growth of the National Capital Region.
