Ottawa – The Ottawa International Airport today welcomed the Government of Canada’s decision to provide indemnity for third-party war and terrorism liabilities for essential aviation service operators in Canada for the next 90 days.

President and CEO Paul Benoit stated: “Ottawa Airport applauds the federal government for demonstrating decisiveness and leadership in providing an interim solution to this critical issue. Minister Collenette’s personal attention to this matter has ensured that the aviation system will continue to operate without interruption.”

“We will continue to work with insurance underwriter to find a commercial answer. In the meantime, our focus will remain providing the travelling public with safe and smooth transit.
