Ottawa, Ontario - Paul Benoit, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Ottawa International Airport Authority is pleased to announce that Krista Kealey has joined the organization as the Director of Communications and Public Affairs.

Ms Kealey will act as an Official Spokesperson for the Airport Authority, in addition to assuming responsibility for the media and community relations, sponsorships, and issues management portfolios.

Most recently, Ms Kealey was the Vice-President of Business Development and Client Service for Publicité Fuel Advertising of Toronto, responsible for all aspects of their business in the Ottawa market. Prior to that she was the Director of Marketing and Integrated Client Services for St. Joseph Printing, and a Federal Government Account Executive for Bell Canada.

Ms Kealey has distinguished herself in the community through her involvement in local charities, including her current position as Chair of the Snowsuit Fund. She also serves as a member of the Executive of the Canadian Club of Ottawa, and is the Chairperson for the Club’s 100th Anniversary celebrations in January, 2003.

“Ms Kealey is a welcome addition to the team” said Mr. Benoit. “It’s a particularly busy time at the Airport, as our expansion project proceeds, and we look forward to her input, and the perspective that her experience and community involvement will bring to both the project and the position.”

OMCIAA operates Ottawa International Airport without government subsidies under a 60-year lease transfer agreement with Transport Canada. The Authority’s mandate is to manage, operate and develop Airport facilities and lands in support of the economic growth of the National Capital Region. The 40-year old terminal building was last expanded in 1987. Since that time, passenger traffic has increased over 35%.
