August 24, 2007 (Ottawa) – The Ottawa International Airport Authority would like to advise that the City of Ottawa will begin a roadway resurfacing project on the Airport Parkway on Saturday, August 25th – weather permitting.

Work will be done on the weekend only, again weather permitting, and will continue until the project is completed. As a result, the roadway will be reduced to one lane, and flagmen will be in place to direct drivers accordingly. While priority will be given to southbound traffic en route towards the airport, the lane reductions could result in traffic delays.

The Airport Authority recommends that passengers leaving Ottawa factor extra time into their travel plans to accommodate delays. Meeters and greeters should also plan for possible delays when picking-up arriving passengers.

Any changes to the above-noted information will be posted on the homepage of the Airport Authority’s website at www.ottawa-airport.ca.
