The Ottawa International Airport Authority is pleased to announce more good news concerning direct destinations to sunny southern destinations. Sunwing Vacations confirmed that effective December 18th, 2014, it will be adding St. Petersburg-Clearwater, Florida, to its schedule. The 3.5 hour flight to the Gulf coast’s most beautiful beaches, will take off every Thursday for the 2014/2015 winter charter season.

This announcement comes on the heels of the Authority’s August 26th announcement of an enhanced winter schedule with new Sunwing service to St. Martin/St. Maarten, Delta Air Lines service to Atlanta, and Celebrity Cruises/Canadian North service to Miami. Enhanced Air Canada service was also announced, including new non-stop service to Samana, Dominican Republic, Tampa, and additional frequency to Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Montego Bay, Punta Cana, Santa Clara and Varadero.

“These are the announcements we love to make” said Mark Laroche, President and CEO of the Airport Authority. “When the weather turns cold, our passengers will have an abundance of warm choices for their winter holiday travel. It’s good news all around”.
