Since it was formed in 1997, the Airport Authority has made a significant contribution to the economic landscape of the National Capital Region. It plays host to nearly 4.5 million passengers, accounts for almost 9,000 direct and indirect jobs and injects nearly $2 billion into the economy each year. The successes over the last decade and a half are not ours alone – they are shared with the communities we serve. We are committed to giving back, and do so in a variety of ways. Whether helping to provide a fitting welcome to visiting groups and conferences, to providing funding to worthy charitable projects in Ottawa-Gatineau, the Airport Authority believes that it has an important role to play in improving quality of life in our community.
