Project Clear Skies
The Ottawa International Airport Authority’s community giving program
Making a difference from the ground up
The Ottawa International Airport Authority launched Project Clear Skies in 2004, on the first anniversary of the opening of the new Passenger Terminal Building. Because the community has been so instrumental in the airport’s success, the Authority created Project Clear Skies, a community giving program, as a means of saying thank you and to make a meaningful difference in the community – from the ground up. Approximately $100,000 is distributed each year through the program, using funds from the Authority’s retained earnings. Since 2004, Project Clear Skies has contributed more than $800,000 to worthy projects in Ottawa-Gatineau.
